Georgina Beyer, de eerste trans vrouw in Nieuw-Zeeland en ter wereld die burgemeester en later parlementslid werd. Als trotse Māori en trans pionier combineerde ze haar culturele erfenis met haar strijd voor de zichtbaarheid en de gelijke rechten van sekswerkers, queer en transgender mensen. Haar herinnering blijft voortleven in de verandering die ze teweeg heeft gebracht in de Aotearoa Nieuw-Zeelandse samenleving en rechtsstaat.
